题目：Volterra integral equations with variable or nonlinear exponents

摘要：We perform mathematical and numerical analysis for Volterra integral equations with variable or nonlinear exponents, which extends classical results for constant-exponent problems. In particular, some new techniques such as the kernel splitting method have been developed for handling the complex kernels. Furthermore, a multiscale solution decomposition method has been developed to circumvent the solution singularity during numerical computation, which provides a scenario where the smoothness assumptions for solutions of weakly singular problems (in general not true) are appropriate.

报告专家：郑祥成，山东大学研究员、博士生导师，研究方向为高阶鞍点动力学和解景观方法、多尺度和非局部问题的理论与算法等，相关成果发表于SIAM系列 (11篇)，Sci. China Math.，CMAME，JCP，IP等，主持国家自然科学基金青年科学基金项目B类和C类、山东省自然科学基金青年科学基金项目B类等，入选中国工业与应用数学学会“青年人才托举工程”、山东省“泰山学者”重点人才工程等，以主要完成人获山东省自然科学二等奖两项，入选斯坦福大学与Elsevier发布的全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单及Wiley中国高贡献作者奖，担任CSIAM油水资源数值方法专委会副秘书长。
